  Wendy is a faboulous host. She is born to be a landlady. From the welcome to the farewell she was always available for suggestions, ideas, destinations to vist and most of all present during breakfast.   The rooms were large and comfortable. The bathrooms had great toiletries. The breakfasts had plenty of choice and were well cooked. We saw whales from the balcony within 5 minutes of arriving, and the cliff path was close by and a great walk. Lavender manor is very close to Hermanus golf club which is a very well kept golf club. I can't imagine why anyone would stay in town, as there is no beach there, only rocks, and a lot of people. When I arrived, I walked to the beach in the late afternoon and was immediately hooked.

  Our hosts were delightful and very welcoming. Our room was more than expected and the views down to the beach were spectacular. We deliberately visited in winter (because we're South Africans and Dubai's 365 days of sunshine is boring) when it rained a bit so we didn't make use of the braai or the balcony that much but our room was cozy and perfec... vad folk säger » t for romance. The breakfast was delicious and the overall atmosphere was tranquil and relaxing. In fact, we were so taken with the place we were hopi - Jose and other staff were very friendly and helpful. He even booked our shark diving tour when our operator let us down. Breakfast was lovely, room big and heaters a thoughtful touch as chilly at night. Shower was huge and plenty of hot water. This isnt the cheapest guesthouse in the area, but certainly has the service. I would highly recommend.

  Our stay was very comfortable with a nice room/bathroom, comfortable bed, a view/patio of the ocean. The location is very convenient just across from the walking path along the coastline into the town center of Hermanus. This is a lovely comfortable place to stay without feeling fussy. There is also free, secure parking. - Very nicely appointed, outstandingly comfortable beds, duvets and pillows, quality linen. Very helpful owners. Breakfast stood out as by far the best we had in 5 hotels in the Western Cape. Great location on the cliff, easy walking distance to the Harbour for quality seafood, and to the city centre. Great walks along the cliff path.

  The friendly and helpful lady who looked after us made our stay a happy one. She called the whale watching company for us, without being asked, to check whether our trip was cancelled because of the weather, and was able to recommend a good place to eat when we arrived late the first night. It's a bit far from the centre (nice walk along the coast though) but the new harbour is just around the corner so very good location for whale watching.

Our room was so confortable and large, it had the best bathroom I ever experienced in a hotel with 1 big bath and 2 fantastic showers! Ina, the owner was very friendly - like the rest of the staff - and made us feel at home. Breakfast was excellent, service beyond expectations. We loved it.

  We stayed for only 1 night. Upon arrival, we were provided advice on the best way for whale sighting. On that winter night, the owner also brought us hot water pack which really helped to keep us warm. On the next day, my husband fell sick. The owners were very helpful.
