  My wife and I spent five nights at the Akademie. We stayed in Ooirtgung Cottage (spelling probably not correct) which has a lot of history and is very charming; slightly secluded from the main house and other cottages it was perfect. Katherine could not have been more welcoming or helpful, she gave us lots of useful and is clearly a font of all k... vad folk säger » nowledge, not just about franschhoek but the surrounding areas too. Breakfast was fantastic; plentiful (need to diet now) and a real treat. Staff wer - -the room was just perfect: bright, clean, excellent furnitures taste. - home made food for breakfast - complementary drinks and snacks in the room - availability of the staff - perfect location in the city center
