  We have never stayed in a hostel before and this was definitely superior to many hotels we have stayed in. It was thoughtfully and imaginatively designed and decorated. The staff were very helpful and gave lots of hints and tips about what to see and do, where to eat and drink in St Petersburg. There were activities or tours organised by the hoste... vad folk säger » l each day which you were free to join in with. The room we stayed in, room 6, was absolutely stunning. It was by far the largest room we have ever st - Everything! Staff is amazing, makes you feel home, every night integrates people by promoting activities like movies, pub crawling, watching soccer game. They even prepare popcorn! Its so perfectly clean from kitchen, to bedrooms and specially bathrooms! Decoration is amazing and every detail is well done and organized. They even have umbrellas for gests and do your laundry for a small price which is totally worth it! Even if for some reason you have to stay at the hostel an entire day, still a

  Staff was so nice,attentive and helpful. Check in and out was fast and easy, no waitings. No deposits at check in. Room (Mallorca) was very nice, cute and comfy. It was on the first floor with the views into the garden, where the outside terrace are in summer times. Might be in summer time there not much privicy, cuz out the window are tables of ... vad folk säger » the restaurant's terrace. But during winter time it's perfect. But anyway the room was great. Fast wi fi for free, complimentery 2 bottles of water, c - The hotel is a splendid old house in a very quiet area. Our room was very large and comfortable. The buffet breakfast (included) was excellent as was the restaurant in the evenings. However, the best feature of the hotel was the staff - friendly, helpful, and with fluent English. My wife found the bed a little too soft for her back - housekeeping quickly set up a mattress on the floor which solved the problem. In short - highly recommended.

  Excellent location, friendly staff, clean and comfortable room and facilities. We appreciated iron and desk in our room, so as heated floor in the bathroom. We had superior room: spacious, with 2 windows looking to the Moika river. Very calm. Hot and cold water with tea@coffee on every floor. Everything is close- the Hermitage, Nevsky prospect, the Dome etc. Staff is very friendly, extremely helpful and polite. I'd like to commend Vasili,- an exceptionally professional receptionist. The hotel is full of character, decorated with taste which becomes the old building in the grand part of St. Petersburg. Very clean, has around the clock self-service stand of coffee and tea in the lobby, good internet connection.

  The staff was very helpful. They spoke very good English and were able to help me with translation issues and directions. I had a room on the street side, which I was pleasantly surprised did not have much noise. The room was comfortable and clean. There were a couple of English speaking channels on the TV. The WIFI connection was very strong... vad folk säger » and fast. There is a grocery store near by and the Metro was at the end of the block. I will stay at this hotel on my next visit. - I really appreciated the outstanding service that that the staff offered to us. While there, I had my passport stolen by a pickpocket on a bus and Svetlana, a staff member, took us to the police station and assisted us by acting as a translator. While enroute to the station, she gave us a running commnentary on the sights in St. Petersburg. The food in the two hotel resturants were excellent, but the one called Marius had more choices.

  Without a doubt the best thing about this hotel is the location - it is situated right in the historic centre of St. Petersburg, all sights are very close - I managed to visit a lot in a very short time and didn't even have to use Russian public transport (which leaves a lot to be desired!!).
