Hela vistelsen var utmärkt från början till slut. Det kändes som en lyxigare variant av bed and breakfast till ett rimligt pris. Standarden kan mäta sig med bättre hotellkedjor. Vi hade gårdsrummet som bara har utsikt mot en vägg med någon sorts murgröna. Det dyrare rummet mot gatan har en liten balkong med utsikt mot kanalen. Brant trappa upp till rummet - något som jag tror är typiskt för de gamla husen i Amsterdam.

All of the staff were gracious and solicitous. Our room, though without a canal or garden view, was beautifully designed and exceptionally quiet. One of the reasons we chose Canal House was the garden which exceeded our expectations as a comfortable and beautiful place to chill out, read and enjoy a pre-dinner aperitif. As I needed to rest my foot one day, it was a particularly welcome amenity.

We liked the location - very accessible/walking distance from the central train station and to the city center. Guests can simply pick up anytime, free bottled water, and apple/banana at the reception area. The warm cookie for incoming guests is a nice way to welcome everyone. Wifi works well. Fantastic location just round the corner from Centraal Station, was easy to find - its basically above the Resin coffeeshop. Not to mention an easter basket on easter morning. The hotel is on a quiet street in a covenient location near the hermitage, skinny bridge and rembrandt house. We would definetly stay here again.
