  This is a small B&B in what was once the schoolmaster's house. It has been nicely renovated and provided a comfortable stay. The tea making pot and supplies were very nice. Good breakfast with a large bowl of cut up fresh fruit as well as eggs and the usual goodies of a Dutch breakfast. Very nice people, comfortable and clean rooms, looking classical and authentic, yet stuffed with modern gadgets at the same time. Nicely located in a small village in the countryside. The selection at breakfast can compete with any 5-star hotel! Highly recommended!

  once the owner came, he was the nicest guy ever, amazing breakfast with fresh homemade bread, good size room, free wi-fi, great facilities, the owner let us use his washer and dryer for free - The place is wonderful, breakfast fantastic and the Host just super!

  We loved this place in Franeker. It was just unique in every way. Right beside the canal with so many lovely old buildings that looked like they fell out of a post card. Beyond anything we even expected or hoped for. The perfect example of a historic Dutch town, even with moats and zig-zag canals. The staff was just as if we would have been close ... vad folk säger » relatives. Taken care of us, as if we would have been royalty. Can hardly wait until we come back!!!   We were travelling round Holland and there was a need to stop only for sleep late and early get up. All was perfect: shower,wc,hot water,soup, hair dryer( in 2 stars!), comfortable bed! Room was small but clean with TV. Comparing the price and comfort it was perfect. Of course,remember that its 2 stars not 5 but sometimes 4 stats are worse! Enjoy... vad folk säger » !:) - Staff were very helpful and spoke English very well.
