It was a lovely place and a lovely room. My wife enjoyed especially the old building with the beautiful paintings.
It was awkward to be asked for tips, (probably to the people in the restaurant) when we paid for the room.
Location was ideal for a restfull vacation and it was only 5kms from Maastricht which is beautifull
The hotel was very well run, very peaceful.Staff first rate, Hotel a beautiful place to stay for 3 days.
Beautifully restored castle. Grand common areas with much original architectural details intact. Lovely gardens, ponds, paths and entrance.
A hotel of this calibre and size should add a fitness room.
Quiet location, very pleasant surroundings, atmosphere and excellent restaurant
beautiful grounds, amazing historic hotel, clean and modern rennovation, great value, quality food and drinks, comfortable beds, friendly and accommodating treatment.
Location, Friendly staff
Comfortable bedrooms and spacious public rooms. The hotel is set in glorious parkland. Staff were very friendly and helpful
Range of dinner choices was restricted but good value for money. The price of the breakfast buffet at 14.50 euros per person was too much for what it was.
Very comfortable bed, lovely shower gel! Cleanliness and freshness of everything. The gardens are beautiful and it was quiet and peaceful (well it was when we stayed).
No negative thoughts.
we liked having a large eating facility within the hotel as we were far from downtown maastricht and the castle was beautiful. would have been nicer in the summer time....
we did have a problem with food poisoning at the restaurant...just one of us was very sick, but recovered in two days time.....the formal restaurant was ok....i would recommend to eat in town.
Friendly staff Great location Food superb
Rooms should have more cupboards and a fridge
Beautiful surroundings and nice athmosphere.
The whole setting is fantastic: the gardens, the contemporary furniture and paintings, the exquisitely colourful living areas, the ease of access to Maastrich and Limbourg country side, and the biking facilities. The restaurant offered high quality food at very reasonable price. Our stay at Kasteel Vaeshartelt was too short and will certainly return.
The room was somewhat small and the "double bed" was with separate beds. Am not sure wheter they offer queen size beds. Also missed the coffee in room.
The setting was a big selling point.
Rooms slightly under-equipped: no coffee / tea making facility, trouserpress or accessories you often find in hotels of this standard.
