The location in the middle of the souks was great. The riad itself is beautifully renovated with a central garden onto which all rooms open. Rooms are nicely decorated according to the color, with authentic Moroccan touches. The rooftop terrace with bathing pool is a wonderful place to enjoy the elaborate breakfast and relax after a long day of sightseeing. The owner is always ready to help, with suggestions or bookings (though sometimes more costly than if booked via other excursion operators .
alla recensioner » The riad is beautiful, decorated with a lot of attention to detail, it is very clean and the hosts are wonderful. We felt like we were guests in Bruno's house and family (that includes cat , dog, squirrels, fish and bird :) ). The riad is located in the medina, and the main square is 5-10 min of walking (if you don't get lost). And the breakfast was great (be prepared for a lot of sweet things). The pool is a nice way to cool off and relax, besides the air conditioned room. Our experience in the Riad Charcam was perfect. The Riad has a lovely design every detail has been cared. The owner of the Riad, who attended us Bruno is a really nice guy, he made us feel as at home. Breakfasts at the terrace of the Riad are great, the views are uncomparable. I could say that this is one of the most charming places I have ever been. The location is great, in the center of the Medina. If we visit Marrakech we would for sure book at the Riad Charcam again. The location was very good, in the heart of the Medina. The host Bruno was extremely helpful, met us from the taxi and took us to the Riad (otherwise its impossible to find) and gave us lots of good advice for restaurants etc. -The owner, Bruno, what a perfect host. -The ladies how worked for him, so nice! -Nice, clean, cozy rooms -Good breakfast -Within 7 mins walk you are in the middle of the Djemma el Fna square. Bruno and his staff are all excellent and I would recommend this Riad.Best to book transfers from here too as taxis cannot get to door which can leave hassles with "guides". Good location in medina, comfortable rooms/beds, very quiet environment, very good kitchen (high quality food), friendly personnel, beautiful decoration, sunny roof terrace. Beautifully restored old arab townhouse. The location was great, Bruno was a great host, the room was very nice, breakfast was good. All was good. staff really helpful, peacefull, quiet place in the center of the city good price good breakfast. the best host we've ever experienced. Had a wonderful stay. Recommend it to anyone. The alleyway to reach the riad (though we were assured it was perfectly safe) is quite dodgy - dark (even during the day) and smelly. Despite being quite clean, our room was a bit damp/musty (fresh clothing we put in the closets came out a bit damp and smelly). The riad is a bit hidden, so you will need help finding it. We booked a transfer from the train station which was 150 dirhams one way. We recommend not booking it both ways, because we managed to find a petit taxi with 30 dh back. The orange room had the lights a bit too orange, because we couldn't make out right any colours, and there were no other neutral lights. It was a bit hard to understand each other in english, but we managed :). Nothing. The rooms on the ground floor are a bit damp. -Watch you head walking up and down the stairs. Personnel does not speak English. If you don't speak French this can be a problem. There is no hammam in the riad (while this is presented on the booking site). It's difficult to find the place to begin without paying one of the people on the street to take you there, it's down a very quiet and narrow street with a few twists and turns so is quite disconcerting when first being taken there. I think this is true of the majority of riad hotels in the Medina. it could be nice to send by email a precise map of the location of the Riad before the departure in order to find it easily. Nothing.
