  I was pleased with this hotel in every way! The price was more than I wanted to pay but, realizing lodging in Venice is expensive, I left feeling quite satisfied with my stay there. The desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and attractive, the a/c worked, and the bathroom was spotlessly clean.   Location was about 10 mins walk from St. Marks Square. Close yet far enough away from crowds. Rooms were lovely.Ours was small but had view of canal while our friends had a huge room to make up for lack of view, I reckon! Personally, I loved room with a view. Staff very helpful and breakfast very tasty. All in all, great value.

  Very close to S.Marco's and easy to find. Staff very helpful. Hotel really nicely renovated, clean, cosy and welcoming. Breakfast was delivered to our room without extra charge, which was heaven ! We were there in the off season, so the room price was fantastic compared to high season rates. - I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel. The hotel ... vad folk säger » is in a brilliant location just off St Marks Square and is very quiet. The hotel is immaculately clean and the staff were absolutely brilliant! If every going back to Venice, I would only stay at Locanda Al Leon!

  We loved everything about Ca' Gottardi. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Fabio was a delight, and Luke must be the most friendly and positive Italian guy we have met on our trip :) The room we had was one with a view (ask for second building) and required walking up some stairs, but we did not mind! The snacks in lobby were always available,... vad folk säger » and mostly gluten free :) Delicious coffee, cappuccino and more always available to enjoy with your biscotti...Wonderful breakfast with melon, prosci - Very nice accommodations: understated classy decor, very clean, very large bathroom, very secure & safe, wonderful selection for a lovely European breakfast, every staff member friendly and helpful, great location (away from the touristy centers but only 10-15 minutes to all of Venice by foot). Heat wave came and the AC went out but in 24 hours they had a great portable one that worked great. A little more costly than we had planned to spend but felt it was worth it in the end. Would defin
