  We were very lucky to have a room with a view of the coast, and enjoyed the panorama towards Miramare during the day and the sweep of the lighthouse beam in the evening. Such was the view from the spotless and well-equipped kitchen. The thoughtfulness of the arrangements for the kitchen was characterised by the provision of a little bag of coffee ... vad folk säger » for the percolator. The friendliness of the welcome we received on arrival from Anna the receptionist was memorable, and we benefited from her advice - The location was excellent. Right in the center, a 5 minute walk from the main square and the various cafes and bars. The room we had was very large. It had a kitchenette and a small balcony. Perfect for anyone planning an extended stay. The bed was large comfortable. Trieste: The Positive side to my "negative" "Trieste": Not being very "touristy" - one definitely gets to enjoy things as one might do if one was a resident. BTW: Slovenia and Croatia are very close.
