  Very nice garden, great swimming pool and a lot of space in the rooms. Great design also. The staff was very nice. Great restaurant where a young chef "revisits" the classical Sicilian cuisine with a touch of creativity. The very best restaurant we did in Syracuse.

  The room was compact but split in 2 levels with a little stairs and I liked the idea a lot. The hotel is in front of the sea, close to the city centre.   The hotel appears well managed with a particular emphasis on staff's friendly and professional attitude towards guests. It's a pleasure do be dealing with the management as well and the language capabilities of the receptionists (plus their skills and local knowledge) is second to none.   At an excellent location midway between the romantic island town of Ortigia and the bus/train station of Siracusa, Hotel dei Coloniali provides straightforward, clean accommodation at a reasonable price. The staff were always helpful and we enjoyed our stay immensely. Our room was air conditioned and for those traveling by car, there is parking nearby. - Beautiful, modern clean hotel/room. Plenty of toiletries and sundries available in the room. Aircon in the room was leaking when we arrived however this was sorted very quickly and with minimal inconvenience. Friendly and helpful staff. Short walk to the beautiful port and town.
