Rooms clean. Common showers, but plenty of, clean and everything worked well. Breakfast and dinner were cheap but decent, especially dinner (many delicious dishes with a glass of wine for only 9 EUR, unbeatable offer). Groceries and ticket office right in front of the hostel.   One of the best hostels I've stayed at. Check in was simple, and the people were very kind. It's a huge hostel/hotel so it doesn't have the general "hostel atmosphere" in main areas, but I stayed in a female dorm with 5 other girls, and made instant friends! From a delicious included breakfast, to laundry facilities, free filtered water machine, and hot water for making tea etc - The staff we're nice and obliging. 24 hour reception and no curfew. The rooms were great and kept quite tidy. Bathrooms were kept very clean which was nice. Free wi-fi was awesome. If you want to spend your last day exploring- you can leave your bags at the hotel and pick them up later so you don't have to take them around with you all day.   Location, despite with a slight distance from center, is great. And, it's only minutes from the sea! Staff is great and overall first impression is really good. Reception and lounge are nice and welcoming. Breakfast with no problems. Room is nice and spacious (double). You can even see the sea from your room! Everybody was friendly and helpful, the breakfest was delicious. The view from our room was beautiful.

  Ostello San Frediano was right within the walls of Lucca, a wonderful Italian medieval city. There are cafes and shops around the corner and a beautiful old church to admire right next door. Our room was actually on two levels with two single beds downstairs and a double with bathroom and a good shower upstairs. There were marble floors, high ceilings and many lounge areas, wi-fi in the lobby only and the staff were h - A great place to chill out and close to the wall for some exercise. liked the quietness and laid back atmosphere with plenty of room to spread out to catch up on Emails, reading etc. Sami who ran the private eating area adjacent to the foyer, was very helpful and friendly when i told him I was a veggo. wouos definitely stay here again and also recommend to others.

  Ett mycket bra hotell för det priset! Svalt och rent! Mycket prisvärt! - By far the best hostel we've stayed at. Room was immaculately clean andspacious, there's a kitchen on each floor so there is no overcrowding.It's not a party place but it's very secure and comfortable. The stationis about a 10 minute walk, and the centre of town is easily reac... vad folk säger » hed byfoot. Highly recommended - It was really close to the train station, just a quick walk away. When we got there we were greated by a 24 hour front desk with staffed by very nice people. Our rooms were very nice, simple and clean.
