  The staff were extremely friendly. They were helpful in giving usinformation and directions for visiting Mr Etna and also suggested wevisit a local festival. The dinner we received was great value for moneyand delicious. We had a fantastic view of Mt Etna and could see lavaflow at night. It was easy to find and had parking.   The location is perfect: right in the centre of the town with a view from the balcony over Santa Maria Maggiore church piazza...we saw a wedding (complete with string quartet, soprano and organ) and a public funeral procession accompanied by the town brass band ,,,adds a whole new dimension to watching the world go by! Good location in centre of town, but still very quiet. Excellent kitchen facilities with refrigerator, cooker and utensils. Beautiful, peaceful gardens and courtyard. Wi-Fi and multi-channel TV. Loads of space in very clean rooms, balconies with sea view and huge comfortable beds.

The Views from The Santa Margherita's Hillside position are fantastic, and although the nearest beach is only 5 minutes away, literally at the bottom of the hill, there is still a lovely pool to while away a few hours when it gets hot. - The view is amazing, the staff friendly and helpful.The food wasdelicious. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The swimming pool andtennis court are in an extraordinary position with views of Stromboliand the Aeolian Islands. Many thanks to Fabio for his delicious welcomedrink and his gourgeous home made wine. I strongly recommend it!

  Great location and atmosphere, beautifully restored building, spotless. We stayed at the suite at the top of the building with incredible views. The owner was a delightful and making sure that we are happy and comfortable. 100% recommended. There are plenty of places to have breakfast around. The ovner will advise where to park for free. - We stayed three nights in late May and felt it was an outstanding choice. Location is perfect, staff was very kind and accommodating (we were three generations of family age 4-72), the dinner at the hotel was fabulous, and the whole property was spotless. The bathrooms were modern in spite of the building being very historic; beds comfortable; views of the cathedral or the city were wonderful! A perfect introduction to a real Sicilian town.

  Wonderful view, spacious apartment, clean, close to beach and shops - Nice sight and balcony! Close to beaches that you can reach by foot but note that restaurants and 'night life' (bar, pub...) are all located in Lipari center (easily reachable by bis). Free shuttle service but only from the port to the residence
