  Very nice stay. Great breakfast, most of it home made and fresh. Owner is very friendly, caring, educated and hospitable. No problem getting there. Just use the coordinates you receive from Balarte or the 'location on the map'-feature in your TomTom. letsbookhotel.comsite gives you the exact location. Also Balarte signs on roads close by. Ispica is interesting for the cava d'Isp - Very eclectic and modern design, the room was very comfortable with lots of storage space and high end shower and bath soaps. The location is rural and very peaceful, the grounds are beautiful, the breakfast was a delicious mix of local dishes and fresh fruit. The lady in charge was very graceful and helpful. I would describe the Balarte as the Gugenheim in the middle on the Scicilian countryside !

  Love and care was all around in the hotel - you could feel the genuine effort that the owners put into satisfying all the clients. The rooms were simple, but very nicely designed and very clean. The swimming pool was great. The breakfast was one of the best we had in sicily - the owners would take care to get the best cheeses and bread fresh from ... vad folk säger » the oven. The view from the hotel was spectacular - The hotel was in the mountains, but just 8 km from the beaches of sant' Anna which were really nic - Stunning sea view. Large & clean pool. Extensive breakfast with homemade cakes. Very nicely decorated place with great attention to detail. Extremely helpful staff who take genuine interest in their guests - all you have to do is ASK and Matteo (who speaks English well) will help you out. Owner offered us free lunch because our tour to Mt Etna had to be postponed from AM to PM due to car problems that he could not foresee.

  Pools fantastic Rooms large Very helpful staff, in particular Monica. Courtyard with fountain and poolside area very nice with ample seating. Nicely furnished with oceans of space for clothes, even in the smaller of the two rooms. The large room had a sofa and coffee table making it very homely. Location near to Segesta, relatively near to Palermo... vad folk säger » and Monreale and the coast, including the nature reserves made it an excellent choice for culture, nature and sea. - We had a very short one night stay but the location is great with easy access to many interesting archeological sites and local points of interest. We would hapily return in the future.
