  Best food in the world!! - Wonderful location and spa facilities. Staff were excellent, so friendly, cheerful and helpful. Room (junior suite) although small had 2 lovely terraces with magnificent views and 2 bathrooms! Restaurant menu was simple but food was very good and together with the lounge area had a lovely atmosphere.   The staff were wonderful and very friendly. They were the nicest we have ever had on any trip to Italy. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel was close to town for shopping. (Go out the back near the playground equipment and you are only 5 minutes from shops.) The beach across the street was lovely.Lots of free parking at the hotel.   On arriving at the hotel, we were stunned by how beautiful it is! The rooms were typically sardinian and really beautful, and the pool and private beach couldn't have been better.

  Out of all the different options we had, we (3 friends) chose an apartment managed by Biriola Holiday - mainly because of the huge number of positive reviews. Communication with the manager, Matteo, was excellent and he was very friendly and helpful with everything - not to mention all the great insider tips he had for us! We were glad to be there in the low season, when Cala Gonone is almost empty (i.e. no tourists), - We traveled to Cala Gonone as a young couple and found Residence Biriola very easy to find. Upon arriving we were greeted by Bruno, the elder statesman of the residence, who was quite simply charming. He took us around, showed us the garden at the back and told us we could help ourselves to the fresh herbs and chillis.   We liked the welcome and attention from all the staff at reception and in the dining area. The room space was good as was the garden setting. Breakfast was fine. Generally had a calm, quiet ambience when we were there in mid May. Free parking. - Lots of birds in the garden, sparrow's nests on the balcony, clean beach right near the hotel.
