  Now this was a beautiful hotel! From the pre-arrival emails that provided great advise, to the excellent customer service throughout our stay. The room was beautiful (we had room 307). All the fixtures were high end, and the space a very well designed and comfortable. The bed was total luxury! And the shower facility was excellent. The man who helped with the check in also brought us to our room and gave us an overview of the facilities. He was really friendly and detailed. - Everything. The room is big enough (Europe standard), the bed is absolutely comfortable and the shower is mmmmmmm... what a great experience after walking Rome. The bathroom, the huge TV, the DVD... everything is new and modern. Really clean. The coffee and tea facilities are very good to take something quikcly and start exploring Rome without delay. The staff was really kind and helpful.

  The reason I chose this hotel was the fabulous location - when in Rome,I spend most of my time at the ancient monuments, and this place is right at the bottom of the via Cavour, literally a minute or two from the Roman and Imperial Fora. I had a deluxe room and it was lovely - faciltities were good, nice shower, tv, safe, fridge - all you would ne... vad folk säger » ed. Everything was clean and though the style of decor would, for some, probably be a little out of date, I thought it was quite charming. Note though - Once we arrived the staff was prompt and happy to greet us. Though we didn't speak Italian they spoke enough English to communicate perfectly. The stay was great, we decided we needed to stay a second night without booking it and they ensured me it wasn't a problem offering me the same rate. Ana Paola and Luigi were extremely polite and helpful. The location is right dead in the heart of Ancient Rome, absolutely amazing for the price. Tons of restaurants and bars close as well.

  First of all the staff were all amazing. From the brilliant Mariella at the front desk to the senora cleaning the rooms. It is close to Roma Termini station and the main bus station too. Just a few minutes walk. The rooms are big and nice. Also quiet. No traffic noise from my room on 5th floor. You get all the help you need from the staff.   The Amalfi hotel is situated within walking distance of the main railway station and is great for making it an easy two stop holiday which is what we did. It is also within walking distance of the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. The beautiful Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore Church is just across the road. The staff are very friendly and helpful, giving out maps and marking all the places of interest o - My favourite thing about Amalfi by far was the absolutely lovely and wonderful lady who runs the breakfast buffet. She obviously takes so much pride in her work and is so friendly, bubbly and full of energy every morning. She goes to extra lengths to make everyone feel welcome and appreciated and gives a veritable tour of the buffet when the guests come in! What a lovely lady, thank you so much.

  We stayed in the Annex, which is around the corner from the main hotel and reception. Both buildings are in the old city centre, a block or two away from Trevi fountain and many restaurants and curio shops. great location. The location is perfect for visiting all the sights in Rome and the staff were all friendly and helpful.
