Cassa Valentini is in a fantastic location - a short walk from the station and bus and tram service close by. The only issue was lack of signage but we had looked up reviews previously and had no problems finding the hotel based on information provided. On arrival staff were extremly welcoming and helpful during our stay. alla recensioner » When I first saw the area at night I was suspicious it might not be a good place. But its safe and old and young people walking their dogs at night. This hotel is something like a guest house. Which starts on the first floor. Its actually a very good value for money. Breakfast is very basic. The room is clean and very basically furnished, just for practical purposes. I would recommend this hotel for people on a budget. Hotel is clean, staff is friendly, beds are okay. Location is a bit out of the way from everything, but the price makes it worth it. Easy to take the tram to a nice city center. We mostly used Padova as a hub for travel to more expensive Milano and Venezia - it worked great. For train travellers with Iphone - download app Locomotimes. Very nice place and very friendly staff, who gave us a lot of help in getting around in Pisa. The location is outside of the historic center, but with a very good tram connection to the center. (approx 200 m walk to the tram station.) Very good value for price. This is such a super-modern and fresh facility - - loved the excellent Wifi, the bright clean new fixtures in the room & bath, and the vending machine that has sparking water for 30 cents a bottle; staff were highly attentive and responsive. I cannot handle so much sweet in morning. Like other reviewers say - it is quite easy to find the building, but the entrance to the hotel part is not marked in any way. To help: Walk on the right side of the building from the street, go in third door, find the elevator, go to first floor. There you will find the lobby and some helpful staff. Also, breakfast is not great and the walls in the rooms are a little thin. Breakfast could be better, but for the price in mid-summer in peak tourist season that was fine. And if somebody wants something to add to it: on the way to the tram station there is a small pastry shop with everything you like, coffee included. :-). Tricky to find, it is in a semi-industrial structure that is a bit of a hike from the north side of the train station; I wound up preferring to take the tram to/from the station (and the center) to the Arcella stop, and then walking a few minutes straight east to the top of Via G de Menabuoi where the hotel is set back from the street at #64. it is really confusing to find the hotel. The entrance, and there is no sign whatsoever. On our way out, there were another tourists as confused as we were. A sing in English would be great. no external information board for the name of the hotel. It's not easy to enter the building - the door is further in the yard and there are no directions at the main gate. The shortest way to the city center leads through somehow unpleasant surroundings of a train station (but there might be another route). The breakfast is very poor in choice. it was a bit difficult to find since there is no actual sign outside the building. From the first sight it is a bit hard to find where is the hotel. No ''Hotel'' sign. That there are no signs and its hard to find and it looks like a hospital is half of the place so it felt kind of like and looked like I was staying in a hospital. I didn't like that so much. 1-Breakfast just basic. 2- The room is huge but badly ordered. 3- The blanket and pillows low quality. Like being hospital - it has a cancer clinic in the building and the rooms were for hospital visitors. Hard to find - no sign up. Electric toilet has scary instructions. Lack of soundproofing with neighbouring rooms. Breakfast included but no savoury all processed sweet food. - new beds are necessary. Not a pleasant district. Seems like you are stayng in hospital. Awful personal. You can hear everything what is happening around. Poon breakfast. Soulless. Like a Formuls 1 hotel. Area around train station feels dangerous at night; avoid if traveling alone, especially as woman. Though the room was very clean the bathroom smelled moldy. Pressed "help" switch in room by accident (it was right next to light switch and poorly marked) then could not deactivate flashing light without receptionist's help (after midnight). Poor acces outside and inside, modest breakfast with alterated yoghurt, check in administration very long, copying of personal documents (!). It seems not be a real hotel, actually the real name is Casa di Accoglienza (Halfway house) Valentini Terrani. It seems more a hospital. it was too far from the center.
