Trieste is a beautiful town and this is a beautiful place. The room I had was large, thoughtfully decorated and extremely comfortable. The location was brilliant, the staff were lovely, breakfast was beautiful and featured local produce, there's a crazy lovely naughty puppy dog who was great, it's across the road from a lovely osteria called Marise (go!)... I would love to stay in this place forever. I wish all hotels were like this.

  We were very lucky to have a room with a view of the coast, and enjoyed the panorama towards Miramare during the day and the sweep of the lighthouse beam in the evening. Such was the view from the spotless and well-equipped kitchen. The friendliness of the welcome we received on arrival from Anna the receptionist was memorable, and we benefited from her advice - The location was excellent. Right in the center, a 5 minute walk from the main square and the various cafes and bars. The room we had was very large. It had a kitchenette and a small balcony. Perfect for anyone planning an extended stay. The bed was large comfortable. Trieste: The Positive side to my "negative" "Trieste": Not being very "touristy" - one definitely gets to enjoy things as one might do if one was a resident. BTW: Slovenia and Croatia are very close.   The couple that ran the place were really lovely and hospitable. The location is brilliant - very near centre (5-10 min walk) and right opposite a nice cafe / bakery serving bread, pastries and coffee, that is open 24 hours!
