  Generator was a great place to stay in Venice. Even though it is on Giudecca, there is a vaporetto stop near the hostel and getting to St. Mark's Square is quick and easy. Staff were generally helpful and made a special effort to help us locate a lost piece of luggage at the airport. We stayed in a 4 bed with an en suite bathroom that was clean, s... vad folk säger » pacious, and had a great view. The lobby was inviting and modern, and the breakfast is a good value. Certainly better than your average budget hostel. - They helped me to charge my phone when my cable got broken. Very comfortable beds with lights that don't disturb others. Quite cheap, good breakfast for additional price. It was a half-populated 16 person dorm, but it was comfortable to stay there. It is on a separate island from the city center, but public transport is working all the night so it's not a problem.

  I stayed for one night, and it was perfect. If you are looking for a hostel to stay for a few nights, this one is perfect. 10 min. from St. Marco Place. The owner is a really nice and helpfull guy, he gave me a map and showed me where i could go. Really appriciated his help. The rooms are clean and the facilities are good, staff are extremely friendly and helpful and will help you with any queries you might have about getting the most out of your visit to Venice. I would defiantly stay here again and recommend to others.
