We arrived early from our previous hotel and were able to call and get in early. The B&B is located on the 3rd and 4th floors of an apartment building. While the room was being prepared, the wonderful manager took out a map of Florence and provided a background to Florentine history/culture, pointed out things not on tourist maps, suggested lunch and dinner options and told us a bit about the area where we were staying, filled with Florentine natives rather than tourists. We'd been to Flore.
alla recensioner » We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by Antonio who was wonderful! He oriented us to Florence, gave us a map, and made recommendations. He also recommended and helped us plan a day trip to Lucca. He helped us find train times and recommended a great restaurant. The room was large enough and each child had their own bed. We liked that fact that is was away from the crowds in a quiet neighborhood. Although the breakfast is mostly sweets, there is a grocery store next to the Ponteveccio,. The location was quiet and offered a short 15 min walk along the Arno into the center. The staff was very friendly and offered excellent suggestions of places to dine that wouldn't be tourist traps. They were very eager to make sure we were comfortable and gave us a quick tour of the city on a map before sending us out on the first day. The guesthouse room was very quiet. Wonderful green garden in the back, large bed, very comfortable. Very quiet neighborhood. Friendly staff. Parking nearby, no charge, if there was a place available. 30 min. walk to city center. Bars and Cafes nearby. We will definitively stay there again on our next trip to Florence. I stayed on Sunday night, it's Free parking in front of the guesthouse. Location is great, Safe & Quiet zone of Florence, not difficult to reach and easy to drive around this side of the river. The staff is really nice, he drive to drop our family to the old town, we don't want to drive or park in the city center. We loved staying here- away from the craziness of the city but close enough to walk to the downtown. The bathroom was huge (by European standards), the room was very nice, fast wifi, and the street was nice and quiet. We loved staying here and would definitely stay here again. We very much liked that it was clean and charming and very near to the city but off the beaten path in a quiet and picturesque neighborhood. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful and we felt more like we'd stayed in someone's home than in a hotel. Loved the personal service with a white jacketed and gloved waiter delivering breakfast in the morning. Quiet location and about 20 minute walk to Ponte Vecchio. Very helpful tourist information and booking of taxi to leave. it is a very good bed and breakfast, a great address if you want to spend fews nights in Firenze. It is far less expensive than a traditional hotel but closed to centre, clean ,large room .... We liked the location and being able to walk to Florence City Center. The breakfast was great and the room was very clean. Thomas provided us with excellent service and information. Excellent staff, wonderful location and room. We had a room overlooking a garden. No 24 hr reception, have to contact a staff for an estimate arrival time. No elevator and the place is on the 3rd and 4th floor of the building, that will be difficult if you have a big luggage. The only negative I can think of is that there isn't front desk help everyday. The front desk is there when you check in and gives you information, but then we never saw them again during our four night stay. The same breakfast (exactly the same...) each day. Even just varying the flavor or jam or croissant or fruit would have been welcome. Nevertheless, it was fine and a truly small thing. Shower too small for comfort. Lack of ability to make a hot drink in the room a disadvantage. to find a parking is just a nightmare ..... The room was a little small for 4 people and there were many steps to climb. No elevator. Breakfast in the room was too simple. Car parking. Poor breakfast, no refrigerator, mosquitos. Thought the breakfast was lacking. It is on third floor, without lift. Breakfast in the room, poor. Too much money for the value what you get.
