Skönt med egen AC som man själv kunde kontrollera. - Absolutely amazing historical place. The atmosphere and ambience was out of this world! Very tranquil and serene and restful retreat.   The lady and her nephew who ran the Hotel were delightful, very helpful and such a warm friendly atmosphere we didn't want to leave. It was like stepping back in time to old style Italy but everything was comfortable and worked very well. Lots of hot water and a good shower.Look forward to our return! Another bonus was free internet available in each room - The owner is the nicest host you could ever ask for. The room (family sized) was awesome with plenty of space. The beds were comfortable. The location is great, very close to the walls of central Lucca. It's in a quiet neigborhood with small shops (pastry, laundry, and others) within a short walk. Breakfast was better than expected and again the owner is the perfect host.

  I was a bit stressed out when we arrived, because we arrived a few hours later than planned. and had to drive down a narrow pedestrian street to reach the hotel. Being from the U.S., it felt much like driving down a busy sidewalk. But hosts Bri'd and Stefano were just wonderful.
