All the above and the quality of the interior design of the rooms and the spa as well as the spaciousness , light, views from the dining room and fine dining - fantastic. The hotel room was just fabulous. Nicest hotel i have stayed in. I recently stayed in the G hotel in Galway and this hotel is equally as nice.Room was extremely good as was the food. Facilities and surroundings excellent. alla recensioner »
very clean, relaxing, good food and helpful staff. just loved the room and the vey comfortable bed. the staff were very helpful and polite. The luxurious furnishings. Food, Spa and service. The peace and tranquillity and the open fires. Please do not change as many hotels do to gas imitation fires. The peace and quiet of hotel and also the atmosphere was very friendlyand relaxed. The Bedroon and the Diningroom were the only places i saw - both excellent. The pool and changing rooms were excellent and so was the bedroom.the ability to walk around town with weather being beautiful. very relaxing ,nice distance from town,. the spa, views, breakfast. Views were spectacular - Hotel Cleanliness - Dinner in the restaurant. The hotel views were excellent. The spa was excellent. All above excellent, price was a little steep I felt. A second person stayed and I was thus charged an extra 60euro. Overall 190 euro I feel was expensive. I liked the roaring fire in the lobby when coming in from the inclementwest of Ireland weather.Relaxed atmosphere ans spectacular views. The situation, views,. Check in receptionist was very welcoming and friendly. Setting is very nice and drawing room in particular is beautiful. breakfast was very good. Spa treatment. I stayed at this hotel some years ago and was very pleased. I thought I would treat my wife!. Location, well mantained. It was a classy hotel. the spa. Location. I didn't like the routes to the rooms. The beautiful antique furniture looks sad and tired because of the moderness and the lack of style of the architecture and the cheapness of the corridor carpets. It would look better with more modern furniture in the corridors. I also didn't like the stains on the bedroom corridor carpets and the broken pane of glass in the entrance door of the spa. Room service was a little slow, but probably because busy with wedding party. Nothing I would worry about.the dinner menu in the restaurent was very limited. I just was wondering about wheel chair access, I didnt see ramp at main enterance ,or the lift going to the bottom floor from reception. Just noticed this, probably incorrectly.Front line staff not very friendly. No internet in my room..I booked under the impression there would be.The plastic shower curtain. This was my second stay at Knockranny. On both occasions (2 monthsapart) the steam bath and both of the Grotto baths were not operating. No information or apology was made by the hotel for this. For a hotelto advertise itself as a 'spa' it should be more forthcoming aboutfacilities that are not available, when clients book or at latestduring check-in.Drawing room not available to residents. The bar lacks atmosphere a little bit. big hotel - not their fault but it felt cavernous as there were not many people there. We were disappointed with the menu in the dining room. The selection of food was poor. Also I ordered Cod as my main course and was given Sea Bream (smelled very like Mackeral - my hobby is sea fishing) in any event the waiter apologised and told us the "kitchen" made the mistake! My Cod was delivered by which time my wife had nearly finished her meal.space in room not maximised, some spa facilities were not working sauna, showers, hydro jets). The room was very warm. hotel room was very basic for the price in my opinion. The intense heat in the hotel/rooms , v uncomfortable. The room decor was poor and needs updated. there is no mini bar which is unusual for a four star. No slippers or robes in room. The service was inadequate for a 4 star hotel. Room was not ready on arrival (3pm) and staff service was slow. Waitress uniform was unclean. I would not rate the service we received as 4 star. Room overlooking car-park.
