The Sheraton is a visually beautiful hotel - if you don't look close. The design, layout, gardens and views are all perfect. My room had a view of the gardens, pools and Mt. Merapi. The staff went out of the way to make sure I was having a good time. The rooms are large and airy but very worn down. Things didn't work from arrival to my departure. Things were forgotten like towels. I would still stay here again as the plus was bigger than the minus.
alla recensioner » the hotel building and the garden as well as swimming pool is very impressive, the breakfast was also great, the hotel is located outside the city, which could both plus and minus, however you my easily reach city in less than 20 minutes by taxi for max 7$. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The rooms with the private pool access are a very nice idea and we will come there again for sure. Not only the staffs are very helpful and friendly, room is very comfort and clean, also stunning WIFI speed. Love this hotel. I upgraded to Lagoon King room, it was very nice room and has convenience area especially the pool. Every thing about the hotel and staff. Special thanks to Emilia who was very helpful in every way. Between 4 and 5 star. Friendly staff. The pool was interesting. The hotel needs a lot of repair work - furniture, walls, bathrooms and internet. It was all lacking. But the staff and views and the outward appearance of the property are all exceptional. definately the bathroom could be cleaner in 5 star hotel. You can see that the hotel is already a little bit older and many small details are worn out already. Nothing. Too far to go everywhere. The pillows were too soft and I could not sleep well. There are rooster croaking in the morning at 4-5am. Quite disturbing to my sleep. Pool closed. The hotel facilities are quite dated and a bit scruffy. The terrace of the hotel room was not cleaned and full of bird's dirt. Slow sevice. - poor English quality of staff - bad breakfast quality. Well, where does one start? I'll be brief: The room had water stains on the walls; the drapes where off of several hooks; the noise from the local neighborhood penetrated the walls as if they were made of cardboard; housekeeping only cleaned once during the three days we were there; the thermostat on the air conditioner would not adjust properly; the resto was terribly over-priced; the staff mostly rude to my wife (as she was a local). Other than that...
