We opted for the basic room no aircon or hot water, the staff is super friendly and accommodating. There are more fancy places on Gili Air, but it its a good clean room you are looking for this is the place, you don't need many facilities as the island surrounds is what you there for. -

As a 40+ solo traveller I enjoyed the comforts provided by Kaluku Bungalow including the king bed, air conditioning, and private outdoor shower and toilet which was beautifully designed with natural slate and stone. The bungalow is clean and nice. It is on the beach as all hotels on Gili island are. The shower and toilet are under the sky;) Breakfast is simple but nice. It's better to go to other places to swim and lay on the beach as there is no actually beach in front of the hotel and the sea is not deep enough. The island is perfect, it's like paradise!

We loved our time here, the resort is right on the beach and right by the restaurants. Gili Air is far quieter than Gili T so this is no problem at all as everything winds down by 11. The pool is divine and snorkelling is on your doorstep. The accommodation was unique and we enjoyed the 2 story villa. Very relaxing and very required after Gili T!

Staff were very helpfull and friendly. The diving was extremely well organised with equipment standards rating very high. The breakfast choices were great and always fresh. My girlfriend and I stayed at Bale Sampan for 3 days after trekking up
Mount Rijani in Lombok. Our fist impression was that the hotel was
charming would be quiet, exactly what we were looking for. Check in was
quick and easy and we were immpressed by the cleanliness and layout of
the room. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large enough for
two people to maneuver without stepping on each other.
After talking with other people about their hotels on Gili T it seems to me that Bale Sampa

We loved our stay here. We stayed in a fan cooled one bedroom treehouse, so there were some bugs and the room did get hot at times, but they provided us with bug spray, a mosquito net, and coils. The room was kept quite clean. The highlight is definitely the free breakfast! Would definitely stay here again.

Great location! Just outside the busy mainstreet, and nearby the beach. We stayed in the wooden cabin, for a couple just perfect! After a busy day you can relax at the pool. Anton and " aunt" Bibi, also known as big mama are great hosts. The service is great, where anything is possible. Even for a great dinner and breakfast you can ask for local meals, she will cook it. Absolutely loved my stay. Perfect spot to stay if you want to snorkel and dive with the turtles. There is not one day out of the 5, that I did not see turtles - and this is the main reason I came. Although the restaurant on the beach has a fabulous bbq dinner, there are also many warrungs lit up like market fare a short walk away - loved them. F
