  I have stayed at a few of the older top hotels in Kolkata and found their facilities limited and pretentious and staff continually begging for tips. The Sonnet was wonderfully different, the staff were fantastically helpful, the rooms immaculate and the cost fair. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.   Clean rooms, good service from staff, very attentive and helpful, food in the restaurant was delicious, try the angara kebab, lovely breakfast buffet.
