Housed in an 1845 authentic stone building, recently restored as a traditional guesthouse, Petrino Guesthouse offers modern accommodation with breathtaking views of Meteora. The guesthouse consists of 5 rooms, all of which feature a fridge, satellite TV and air condition. Some of the rooms have a fireplace, one features a spa bath, and one is disabled friendly. Petrino provides guests with free wireless internet and free parking. At Petrino Guesthouse guests may enjoy a delicious homemade breakfast with pies, jams, bread, trachanas (a kind of porridge) and traditional pastries served in the cellar by the fireplace or in the garden.

This is one of the best places we have stayed in Greece. Not only the breathtaking scenery at the feet of Meteora, but the hospitality of the hosts is remarkable. Ms Voula goes out of her way to greet and pamper her guests with the best of the region, starting from the welcome drink in her beautiful garden at the feet of Meteora, and continuing with the copious and tasty breakfatst. The house, an old patrician house in the village of Kastraki -- the closest to the wild rocks of Meteora, is rebu.
alla recensioner » If you would like stay at home away from home you must choose Petrino guest-house. Very good location, close to city center and in the old Greek village Kastraki. Kastroki is more quite then big Kalampaka. The owners Mrs Vuola is very very frendly person, She gave our full information about Meteora monasteries and we have not only room and breakfast, but also tea, coffee, sweets in the evening as offer. The House is very nice and if I be in Meteora again I will stay only here. It was fun for our family to stay in this lovely and historic house. The village of Kastraki was charming and had a wonderful playground for children, and the Gardenia Taverna close to the guesthouse was great. Breakfast was amazing. One thing I would like to advise other families is that the room for four has a very large bed and a bunk bed. There's also a mini refrigerator, which they stocked with juice and water for us. The Guest house was in the middle of the old village Kastraki and surrounded by the Meteora mountains. It was very quiet, and the outdoor sitting area was perfect for morning coffee and breakfast. The history of the rebuilt guest house was also very interesting. The service was outstanding and very friendly. pretty little place in very quiet location with rooms of character. clean, comfortable, and with decent breakfast. windows even had mosquito netting, though I wished I could have opened them wider. good base for visiting meteora, and I would happily stay again. If you want to be near the pillars/mountains of Meteora, this is the place. It's absolutely (a lot of) value for (not that much) money. It's also within walking distance of one of the monasteries (the 'Nicolas' one). Great guesthouse! The location is perfect, very nice views of the impressive Meteora mountains. The breakfast was spectacular. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine, made by the owner, gift of the house. Great place. Delicious home-made breakfast. Nice view from balcony. This is a cosy, friendly guest house in a stunning mountain location. The design, the atmosphere, the location, the wheal to help. Extremely accommodating awesome breakfast!. Everything!. Awesome landscape. Even more, the history of the rocks that goes with it. -exotic house and quiet village. The steps to the cellar made me a bit nervous with my kids, but it is easy to avoid them by walking outside and entering the breakfast room through the garden. Egg options for breakfast with what was already offered would be PERFECT!. a bit too far from town, and evening strolls mean some heavy leg-work uphill. We had certainly no problems being in Kastraki, the quieter (little less touristic) village next to Kalambaka. But if you're looking for 'more going on' (a bakery or coffee place for example), you might want to stay in Kalambaka. Dificult to find and a little too up :-). Hard to find - look for the small sign at the top of the hill on the main road between the two rooms. Worth paying extra for upstairs rooms. The only things: trough towels (totally clean, white, fresh, but rough) and no hot food for breakfast. Although, it's a matter of taste, but I like some fried eggs or omelette or porridge for breakfast. But I didn't have any of those... Nothing. Towels are a bit rough, not sure if they double charged me I paid when I booked and the housekeeper told me I owed I guess I'll find out if its on my card again. not walking distance from train get taxi cost 4e. -can't communicate with anyone in the hotel as they can't speak English at all -shower booth is too small.
