  The hospitality was wonderful and the food was excellent. The breakfast was sumptuous, with plenty of breads, hams, cheeses, fruit, cereal, jams, soft-boiled eggs, coffee, and orange juice. The dinners were likewise delicious and the restaurant was cozy. Our room was very comfortable and, of course, spotless. It's too bad that the weather was so poor, since it would have been great to have sat on the s - My husband and I arrived at Gasthaus Rasstuble around 7.30pm, with fruit and chocolates in our room.A big plus was having the restaurant attached to the building where we could eat, rather than us having to drive into the town for dinner. The breakfast we could not fault, a good selection for the size of the Gasthaus. Alexandria and Albert were very helpful. What we loved most was the fact you could hear the running of water in the creek nearby. So peacefu.l

  Staff spoke good English and were very friendly and attentive. We ordered an evening meal on the sun drenched balcony overlooking the valley and beautiful Forested hills. The meals were promptly served and were delicious and good value for money. The rooms were spotlessly clean and spacious. I wish we had more time to stay and enjoy the area. Congratulations to the staff and management. - I was met by the Innkeeper Ludwig who was very friendly and welcoming. He spoke very good english and was helpful with my enquiries. Breakfast was plentiful and the Evening meals were good value for money. Simonswald is situated in a beautiful part of the Black Forest and is ideal place to stay for touring the countryside.
