  Very good standard and spacious rooms with direct access to a closed garden. In fact one of the best rooms on this trip back from South of France to Norway by car. A drawback that the restaurant did not serve evening meals. After a long day on the road it is not your highest priority to go around looking for restaurants in the city.

  A nice touch in the heat of the summer was that none alcoholic drinks were provided free of charge in the mini-bar. - Staff was very helpfull and the hotel was a grand old world castle !!!! Very good value for the price.

  We booked the Star for Thursday night only as the Mercure where we were based during the Bahá'í Conference did not have their special negotiated rate until Friday.   Service was phenomenal. Were escorted to our room by the young woman who help us at the desk; showed us how everything worked in the room. Restaurant was excellent with nice bar adjacent. Live music, yet you could still have a conversation.   Very comfortable and clean. We also had a lounge, of sorts, which came in handy as we took our dog with us and it was good to leave her there at night so she didn't wake us. There was also a balcony, which would have been useful had the weather been better. All together a very nice hotel, with really friendly people.

  The location is fantastic and the service incredibly personalised and friendly. Our room (comfort extra #5) was spacious and well appointed. Restaurant recommendations were reliably great and let us sample the local cuisine from wine houses where no English was spoken to top class restaurants.
