  It's great to go on holiday and have your own apartment. It was really comfortable. We had a huge sofa and a plasma screen. It is really close to the city centre and the shopping streets. It has several restaurants nearby (one is at the ground floor of the hotel) and a pub next door. People at the reception desk are really nice and helpful, though... vad folk säger » sometimes they don't really know what you're asking for because they're not much into excursions, train timetables, etc. However, they helped us as m - It was an excellent location just off the main shopping street in Munich. We were two underground stops from the main railway station and in walking distance of many of the attractions. The staff were friendly and the rooms were large, with a separate kitchen and bathroom. We slept three people comfortably. Self laundry facilities were available. The reception and other staff were very friendly and helpful.

  Hotellet ligger centralt och har dessutom luftkonditionering. - Mycket bra läge för oss som vill bo mitt i City. Närheten till S-Bahn och U-Bahn. Man kommer nästan direkt till hotell reciptionen utan byte med S1 eller S8, mycket bra. Lugnt och fridfullt trots att det i princip mitt i City.

  This hotel was great, excellent location near the S-Bahn station and near the MarienPlatz you can walk everywhere. Lots of restaurants near by (walking distance). The rooms were very nice and the bathrooms were extremely clean and spacious. Staff super friendly and helpful.   Staff was exceptionaly helpful and courteous. I would like to commend one yourng gentleman, Routiele, head of staff on the 2nd floor. He was very helpful and went out of his way to be of service. - The central location with the S-Bahn-Trainstation directly under the reception of the hotel. Very nice re-decorated rooms.

  I liked the friendliness of the staff. They were very accommodating - wewere able to leave our luggage at the reception on the first night as wehad areservation and were running late. I really liked the breakfasts - We arrived long before check-in time and the room was already made. We appretiated the wellness area and the radio in the bathroom.   This is our second time staying at the Hotel an der Oper and we chose it again for its excellent location. It is located very near the Hofbrauhaus (and other eating & drinking places such as Augustiner and Hard Rock), which are all very easy to walk to. Also, it is only a 3-5 minute walk to Marienplatz (which is another good location). Most of the top sights of Munich are right nearby. The same is true of many of the best restaurants and shops. The staff was very helpful with reservations, including getting us excellent seats at a very popular performance of Rigoletto, which was right around the corner. They also selected and reserved a perfect restaurant for our first night in the city. Very nice!
