  The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was free and very good, bread, cheese, meats, fruit juices, tea and coffee provided. The rooms were clean and tidy, beds were very comfortable.   Cleanliness and comfort - The set up of the room is AMAZING! Mini-bar ( fair priced treats), ironing board, safe, great beds, closet, and the en suite bathroom was a dream come true! The room was VERY clean. The hotel is located steps from the train station, not exactly in the middle of Hamburg's action...but, a quick train ride from it.   Very friendly and humorous staff. Nice, clean and spacious room/bathroom. Conveniently located next to Altona station with easy access to everywhere. We had reserved paid parking in the basement but still the receptionist gave us the choice to cancel it and park on the street for free. Free Wifi. This is the place to stay if you are in Hamburg ... vad folk säger » with friends. - I was totally impressed with the Hotel and it's staff and not to mention the close proximity to the public train system. Best bang for your buck for those travelers looking to country hop and need a clean and comfortable room. I've been traveling in Europe for two months and will now only stay at Meininger Hotels.   i can not say enough good things about Peter and Ben... so helpful! the place looks amazing and really encapsulates an old brothel feel.. it's kitsch, tacky and has some amazing pictures and features. excellent location. totally worth paying a bit extra to stay there for the real hamburg experience.. and please take Bens advice on where to go.. he... vad folk säger » knows his stuff! - Staff were excellent, gave me and my friend countless bits of invaluable advice. Told us some places to go also and they were great. Allowed me to use they're phone/laptop when I lost my phone also which was priceless at the time.
