  The owner was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. As english isnt heavily spoken in the Black Forest region and our broken German was...not great, we spoke to one of the waitresses for quite a bit as she had been studying in Leicester.   We loved everything about our stay. The hotel is located in the most beautiful town of Durbach. Everything is in close proximity. The space in the room was very convenient. The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great, with good variety.   Wonderful and typical hotel, places in a wonderful and natural area. The hotel has its own small park, nicely arranged. The hotel's Restaurant proposes very good dishes for a very fair price (need to book, specially for weekends). And at the end's year season, they propose outside a traditional "hot wine" or "hot cocktail".

  Excellent location with fantastic view from balcony overlooking fruit fields and the black forest mountains. The food was substantial and delicious. The restraunt/bar is very characteristic and has original features. I had the pork loin skerers which was very tender and moist and my partner had pork and spetzles which she thought was very tasty.... vad folk säger » In the morning we had a very comprehensive choice of breakkie. In the evening we sampled the local wine and beers which made the visit more memorab - Quiet rural location, good welcome, lift, comfortable room & bed, good bathroom, free wifi, parking. Excellent 3 course dinner with coffee & easily the best buffet breakfast during 20 days away. Happy, friendly & efficient staff. Good value for money at £125 for DB&B including wine.
