Everything: the river Sioule running past the converted mill; the wonderful breakfast (especially the little cakes, freshly made that morning); very friendly owners; the location, near some great hiking in the Auvergne.
Also, lots of nice details in the room and the rest of the building - Carole clearly has a good eye for detail. -

We loved the serenity of the property and the hosts were fabulous. They made us feel comfortable and were gracious and friendly. You can tell by all the nice little touches that they genuinely care about their guests. -
The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is delicious. The rooms are very nicely decorated and very spacious.

Beautiful comfortable rooms with high quality fitments and facilities. Jacco and Cees made us and other guests extremely welcome and the evening gastronomic meal cooked by Jacco was a delight. Cees excelled in his choice of wines. In all, they whole stay made this a memorable experience. The house and gardens are a joy to visit -

Very welcoming hosts who both spoke excellent English, a spacious room
and bathroom, lovely linen and towels, and a super breakfast including
home made yoghurt and local cheese. The decor was as new. On site
parking was available at no charge. We only stayed one night as we were
driving back up through France but it would be an excellent base for

We couldn't have wished for a nicer hotel on our stop-over to the South of France. We received a lovely warm welcome even though we arrived extremely late in the evening. The room was fantastic. The décor was very modern and the shower was amazing! Breakfast was great also. The best coffee I had during my whole week in France. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a beautiful chateau/hotel, outside and inside. We were passing through but would have loved to have stayed longer. It was fun to spend a night at a country Château. The building has some neat features such as the library (which was designed to look like the inside of a crusades tent), the basement pool, and the winding stone staircases that make you feel like you're in a medieval castle.

It was such a beautiful little hotel in the middle of nowhere! Such a peaceful and nice place to stay! The staff were really nice and the rooms were big and beautiful. The bathroom were beyond our expectations :) I recommend this hotel! -

Helpful and cheerful staff. Neither bedside light worked, so I pointed this out to the lady on reception. She immediately sent up a repair man who fixed it by plugging in the lamps to the wall socket - whoops. The pool's OK but a little claustraphobic; surroundings and decor are very pleasant and the room was easy to get and keep warm.

One of the better French 2star hotels. We would definitely go there
again. Quiet setting with large garden well equipped for relaxing. Small
indoor pool. Lift. Comfortable clean bedrooms plenty of space,
bath/shower room. Good breakfast in large sunny room with attentive
service. Friendly helpful staff speak some English. Pension rate looks
good value and we ate an evening dinner on arrival which was nicely
cooked and served, the menu not very adventurous but very tasty and
