The Maison is a gem, set deep in the countryside, but only a few miles from Auch, a major town. Built into the walls of the ancient Montesquiou fortress, the rooms are very generous and attractively appointed, with very good ensuite baths, linens and towels. The public rooms are quiet and welcoming, and there is a lovely garden looking out over the hillside and its farms. English, German, and French are spoken well here and the owners are cordial and anxious for a guest to see all that is at

I liked the size of the rooms..it was more like a suite! The breakfasts were very tasty especially Monique's homemade yoghurt. They were extremely friendly and welcoming hosts and I would strongly recommend guests to order the evening meal..it is of excellent quality and value. The availability of a pool was also a great bonus especially as it was

The owners Astrid and Johan were extremely hospitable. The facilities were excellent. The evening meal was of a very high standard. Lovely views from the lovely garden with many areas to sit and relax. We would visit again. -

We as a married couple found Domaine de Merete as a captivating place..Our ideal place to stay while we visit Lourdes our favoutite MARIAN shrine ever.We found it as a very friendly and relaxing get -a- way.Highly recomended by us. We thoroughly enjoyed our night here and the hosts were excellent. I would recommend having dinner with the other guests as it brings back memories of large family dinners with good company and excellent home cooked meals. This is beautifully restored accomodation and I wish we had more time to stay longer and exploreth region. Highly recommended.
