  We booked one night and ended up staying 6 nights. We were there in off- season (early April). Had a very nice and relaxing time. The Hotel has a great location, with an own beach and a mini-marina. You can walk to old town Porto Vecchio within 10 -15 min. Great views from the rooms. Fabulous look from the restaurant. Hotel, rooms, landscaping are... vad folk säger » charming. Very nice hosts! We felt welcome from the first minute. It was not the fake friedliness which you get in the big hotel chains but the charm - Fabulous location right on the edge of the bay. Breakfast not 5 m from the water and clearly the breakfast ladies were very proud of what they were offering - the best selection I had on Corsica. Restaurant is very good but the short 15 minute walk (climb!) into town is also well worth it with very many good restaurants on offer. Very enjoyable location to begin my holiday.

  Very nice location - close to the Marina and town. Great pool area and fine rooms. Very helpful and friendly staff. The hotel is beautiful and very interesting as a renovated old country house - The hotel was right on the water and the view from the rooms and at breakfast was amazing! Room was clean and nice.

  I was a little concerned about pervious negative reviews of the hotel, but my wife and I had an amazing time at Carre Noir. The hotel is located on the hillside overlooking the magnificently beautiful Santa Giulia Bay, and is a five minute drive from Palombaggio Beach and 10 minutes from Porto Vecchio.   Very nice rooms, excellent facilities, close to beach and generally good customer service, breakfast was also good. We felt very welcome on our honeymoon and are not regretting our choice.   The hotel was in a fabulous position overlooking the most wonderful view. The staff were friendly welcoming, professional and always willing to help. We had a wonderful time and the restaurant meal was a wonderful end to a most wonderful holiday. The quality of housekeeping was superb also.   Question 3 is a bit tricky, I really only went for Le Tour de France 2013. Although I was a solo traveller, there was a double sofa bed.
