  Location was great. Only a short walk to the Gare de Lyon in Paris, which we needed to use most days. Maybe not the best area in Paris to stay, but an easy Metro ride to any other places you may wish to visit. The Reception staff were excellent; very friendly and helpful, and happy to chat in English. The guy on the front desk was excellent, when I arrived at 11pm off the TGV and then left for the airport at 5am the next nothing, he was on the same shift yet was very friendly and helpful.

  The location was great - a short walk from Gare du Nord, close to many good budget-minded cafes, and incredible jazz clubs. The view from the sixth floor (i.e. seventh) was wonderful.   Great location, very nice staff, quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to many main attractions. A lot of shops and a few metro stops just couple hundred meters from the hotel. Room very small but with a nice clean, reasonably large bathroom. Cheap city bike rental possible but I walked almost everywhere.   It's located next to a station in the main line of the metro (the one that crosses all the important places of paris). The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was well served.
