The location: sea view and close enough to the city. Family-managed hotel. Very intimate and I felt taken care of. Very friendly crew.
Poor water flow in the shower
We were mother and daughter, so two separate big double beds in the same room were very welcome. Clean. Friendly family run hotel. Found a good restaurant called Hosteria, not expensive, good pastas in Cinq something area, near the Palais which is very beautiful and is now an art museum. They told me at hotel that was where water for Marseille used to come from. Hotel staff told me how to get there .
A little far from town, the Port area.
quiet and friendly
expensive and no elevator
The hotel Peron is UNIQUE and I loved it.
What is not to like? Christine the Owner/Manager was so helpful. Our 300 degree panorama from 3rd floor balcony room sensational. Love all of it. Highly recommended for the visitor who appreciates comfort with uniqueness.
Hotel is very cute and really "seaview". Hotel staffs are very nice and helpful.
A bit far from secured parking lot, no elevator.
We loved the location and view was amazing, close to transport easy access both ways in the bus to the port or beaches. Great value and nice part of town so no issues with crime.
Nothing that was an issue .
The location was excellent - very nice sea view from the room, close to beaches and the city center (bus stop in front of the hotel) - and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Family-run hotel.
There was not many things not to like. The hotel was a bit run down, but nothing serious. I would recommend this hotel anytime.
absolutely stunning view of the Mediterranean, friendly staff, nice family-run feel with a personal touch.
Not so close to town, only a few shops and (affordable) restaurants close by. No refrigerator in room, bathroom was small.
Incredibly eccentric and charming family run hotel complete with dog and budgies.Good location next to the ocean. (well there's a fairly busy road inbetween- ask for a room on the top floor) Walking distance to the center of Marseille or there's an excellent bus service just outside the entrance.
The plumbing is very noisy.
The view was absolutely breath taking! The staff was friendly and the rooms charming.
It was a bit far from the main city (Vieux Port), about 45 min walk, or ten minutes taxi (around 15 euros).
The staff were friendly and helpful. The views were wonderful, near the beach for a swim, lots of local cafes and restaurants and a good walk back to the old port along the corniche.
It was a bit shabby but my room had a new shower and toilet. I don't think though you would get views like that at that price if it were luxury accommodation. Didn't have breakfast there so can't commemt
Great price, great seaside location and very friendly (though they might not look it at first) owners who gave us restaurant advice and even a coupon for a free aperitif at a nearby restaurant
The rooms are somewhat old, parking is hard to find, and the bathroom is separated from the main room by an accordion door
Hosts were very warm welcoming and gracious. The view from the bedroom absolutely stunning. A picture from one's romantic vision of the south of France. The quirky decor and The tiny but fun bath.
The rain
It is a great hotel, quirky, not for anyone who likes corporate hotels. No complaints, lovely if eccentric staff and wonderful position.
Location and character, also the friendly staff
Nice ocean front view front room. Not on the beach though.
Mom and Pop hotel. Old funiture. Broken AC in my room. Checked out three hours after checking in due heat. No compensation offered.
Location was great. Very close to the Old Port.
Rooms were very dated and had horrible bathrooms. The staff is great but this hotel is in desperate need for a refresh.
Great location on the seafront & 20 minute walk from Vieux port. Room was a good size, clean & comfortable.
Room could do with a makeover. Hotel doesnt have car park.
Hotel shines with the location, view to the sea and few minutes walk to several small beaches, including some nice hidden ones. Supermarket close by, bus reaches city center in 10 minutes, and the metro to go further. Hotel staff is attentive .. I.E. "provence" is not just a name.
Breakfast.
too noisy, the staff is too slowly, they don't speak english, don't accept 200 euro
