It was convenient to go back to the airport by metro via the station of Cordelierse to the station of Vauix-en-Velin. Close to historic center, Arts museum, a street (rue Merciere) with many bouchons.
The hotel was well situated on the Presqu'ile in Lyon. It was close to shopping, restaurants, sightseeing, all without using the car or public transport. We walked everywhere.

staff is available 24/7, and they are really nice, and helpful. Also the hotel is at the middle of the presqu'ils, so you can get everywhere on foot.

The room was very basic and the bathroom was even more basic, but it was all clean.
there was no Úú closet/wardrobe in my room at all. also you will always hear the neighbours.
The neighbourhood smells like pee all the time.
The main front desk man is very nice and helpful, but one other night
man is extremely rude and unpleasant. Got yelled at and scoffed for not
speaking French, angry that he has to unlock the front door. Otherwise,
this is a good value no frills kind of place.

A big hole in the wall. Curtains didn't close. Hard bed and only one pillow each. Had to ask for glasses - 2 cheap plastic ones supplied. Dirty shower. Marked wallpaper. Small, erratic lift. Sloping bedroom floor. No safe or fridge. Not recommended.
