The room itself is rather clean and warm, the hot water is stable, basically if you only stay in your hotel at nights- - This hotel delivers everything it promises at a very fair price. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable, with the unusual bonus of proper hanging space for clothes, a full-length mirror and so on. The staff are friendly and helpful.

  The hotel is extremelly well located, just across the river from the historical center.The staff was very friendly, the hotel was very clean and the stone walls gave it a very authentic feel. Great cost-benefit hotel in Lyon if you are not looking to spend too much. No luxury, but very cozy. We loved the hotel, the staff could not have been nicer, friendlier or more helpful. Our room was quiet, peaceful and comfortable. We would definately stay here again. Breakfast was traditional French continental style breakfast; exactly what we wanted.

  We chose Hotel du Siimplon as I read a review there was a laundromat around the corner which I knew we would need by then. The laundromat was clean, great price, and easy to access from hotel. The hotel w - I was about to change the hotel when i came from the airport by train via the huge Perrache railway station. i always avoid big stations where criminalities are daily routines. However, the helpful and friendly hotel staffs showed me the other direction where is 7 mins on foot to metro and the landmark "Bellecour". I am very impressed by the warm hospitality of the Lyonnais.

Rooms are clean and not small. But the plastic bathroom (WC is also in there) is not comfortable and extremely small.
