We were immediately upgraded on arrival to the largest room in the hotel - which clearly added something to our overall experience! However, the staff were very friendly, the breakfast was very good, the overally condition of the hotel was good and the location was excellent (2 minutes walk from the arc de triomphe). Breakfast is expensive, though, but all hotels in paris are charging expensive for breakfast. The beds were comfortable. The staff was very helpful as we had planned a last minute trip and not made reservations for sightseeing ahead of time. They helped us figure out how to get around and what to see. Also enjoyed the prompt breakfast. We chose the continental breakfast. It was served in a lovely way in their cozy little restaurant area. Fabulous location close to the Arc de Triomphe and a short walk to the many restaurants bars and cafes on and around Champs Elysees. We could walk to the Seine in about 20 minutes and a further 10 minutes to the Eiffel Tower. We traveled by train from CDG airport changing at Les Halles and arriving at Charles de Gaulle Etoile which is just a 5 minute walk from the hotel. With hand luggage this was fairly easy.
