  Modern hotel close to airport and 10 minutes drive to old walled city. We used as a stop over en route and it was perfect for that. Room was small but comfortable and very clean with good shower and facilties. Good value breakfast. - A very nice clean hotel, easy to find and in a good location for visiting Carcassonne and the old walled town.   Where to start... This was like dropping into a piece of paradise. Located 5km from the city of Carcassonne, so we needed a car to get there but well worth the drive! Lovely chateau, staff, amenities and food. The staff was very helpful in giving us directions. Allowed me to practice my French by not directly converting to English (until I struggl... vad folk säger » ed for the words). I felt even more at home when I discovered the little french kitten in the courtyard! Surrounded by vineyards, our walk through the - Stayed for 2 nights so we could explore the medieval city which is a short drive away. This is certainly worth a visit. The Chateau is a fabulous old building with bags of character although worn in parts. Room was adequate with view over the grounds. Restaurant is closed Monday evenings so we ate in town. We booked to eat on the Tuesday evening and had set menu which included bottle of wine. Meal and wine was ok. Busy restaurant so might be wise to book in advance.

  The apartment was excellent. Exceeded our expectations. The balcony is great and the view is spectacular. The space in the apt is great, but might be a bit tight for 6 adults as there is only 1 toilet (2 bathrooms). I would stay here again if I come to Carcassonne. - good location - between the Citadel & The Bastide. Plenty of restaurants ... vad folk säger » in both areas.

  A superb Apartment in a great location with views to die for! Why would you stay in the cite walls when you can wake up in the morning and see the castle walls. 10 minute walk to everything. Amazing hot tub in the room and Isabella couldn't do enough for you.
