The room is clean and not too small (as usual in Paris). Small kitchen is well equipped. The bathroom is clean and large. The residence is not far from metro station "Bastile" (2 min. walk) and from Gare de Lyon (5 min. walk). -

We loved the fact that is was great value for money, and was quite close to the subways and the tour busses so getting into town was not an issue. Very neat and clean and close to supermarkets. -
Good price and location. The area isn't bad like people make out, possibly intimidating at first but friendly and cheaper than the tourist areas.

We had an apartments on the first floor - it was big enough even for 3 guests. It was really like-home stay. Very cozy, nice, clean and comfortable. All the staff was really friendly and ready to help. -

Loved being in the heart of things - next door to the moulin rouge, in
an area of paris that never sleeps. We were four storeys up with a full
length balcony, so could watch everything from our apartment.noise was
not a problem as he apartments are double glazed. Despite some Paris in

Location: in the middle of a lively area that stays awake throughout most of the night (hotel is adjcent to Moulin Rouge), it is also 50m from an entrance to the metro. Still at night, if the windows are shut - the room is quiet and cozy.
Size: it is certainly not large, but compared to other places at this price range we managed (with 5/8yr old kids) perfectly well inside - anything more may become an issue!
Everything inside seemed to work fine, we even managed to cook one meal :)

Adagio Buttes Chaumont was exactly what we were looking for for our stay in Paris. It was away from the main tourist areas but easily accessible by metro to all of the city.
