  Laurence and Bernard were very friendly. We called them at the last minute to add an other bed (for my Italian friend) and everything was set up when we arrived. We asked about the area (wineries and castles) and they gave them some good tips. Laurence and Bernard speak french, english and Italian fluently.   It suited our needs as a family of 4 travelling with a dog. Modern, clean 2 bedroom house. The children were able to use the pool / tennis in a safe environment. A 10 minute walk into the lovely town with good restaurants, café and castle etc. Paths immediately next to the complex for dog walking.   Hotel Grand Monarque could not be better situated if you want to visit the chateau at Azay-le-Rideau. It's right at the heart of a beautiful town, but the cool courtyard and strong walls create a perfect haven. We stopped off, with children aged 14, 12 and 9, as a midway break on a drive to the Pyrenees. If yo - The location is very central. The hotel room was very quiet, with a tranquil view. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom nicely fitted. The hosts were pleasant and helpful, and responded to my requests very effectively. The public parking was just across the street.

The accomadation was terrific value for money and the Owner and her family could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Our room was excellent and the breakfast very French.
