  The location of Villa Squero was perfect. The first 2 nights we stayed in the attic room where we were happy except for the bonking of our heads on the angled ceiling. The view is incredible, looking back at Rovinj and watching the boats come and go. The second 2 nights were with a balcony on the floor below. The breakfast was the best so far in our trip: 2 kinds - We just loved everything. From the location to the fantastic breakfast on the terrace to the most beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the sea. Also, the little touches, like the bottle of sparkling water in the fridge and a gateau to nibble each evening on our return. The hotel is so good for both the old town of Rovinj and also for the wonderful coast line, which we could explore on the free bikes which we got from the hotel.   The owners were very friendly and even though we arrived late (at 3 a.m.!!) because we had car problems, they didn't seem to have a problem with it.   We loved everything about the hotel. All of the staff there were helpful and welcoming. We had booked a classic room and were upgraded to a superior room. The room and en-suite were decorated to very high standard. The food at the hotel was excellent. The breakfast choices were varied and well prepared.
