Located in the heart of Xi'an, Youth Hostel Shuyuan is 4 km from Big Wild Goose Pagoda. It is a 10-minute drive from Xi'an Train Station and a 20-minute drive from Shaanxi History Museum. Vibrant wall colours and soothing warm lighting feature throughout the cosy guestrooms. A personal locker and shared bathroom facilities are provided. Select rooms have an en suite bathroom. The hostel features several indoor and outdoor public areas, as well as a charming garden, Recreational choices include playing a game of pool or table tennis. For convenience, the English-speaking staff at the 24-hour front desk offers bicycle rentals, tourist information and ticketing service. Guests can enjoy a variety of Western specialities at Traveller’s Café. The hostel holds a free dumpling-making party every Friday and barbecue dinner every Wednesday. The Park Qin Bar is an ideal place for guests to relax.

The staff was very helpful with everything. They got us on a tour at the last minute when we arrived. They did our wash on short notice. They even helped us get a taxi on the street. They spoke good English. The food and the atmosphere were also good. They also saved us money by changing us from 2 rooms to 1 3 bed room which does not show being available on the internet. Staff is very friendly, plus the bar seems to be very popular that you can meet friends from different parts of the world. Water is hot enough for shower and it is not too far away from the stations.
alla recensioner » Location is next to the South Gate of the old town (historic walls). Building is really nice designed. It gives the feeling from outside, that it's an old Chinese building. Great location, great staff, and I liked the bar. The tours offered from the hostel were on the expensive side but the hostel itself was excellent value for the money. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Check in was quick and easy. Rooms were clean. Cafe had excellent coffee. The location is good, it is quiet, the decoration of the hostel is wonderful, the food in the cafe' very good. Built in 'backyard' to chill out, nice cafe- restaurant and good daytrips to tourist attractions. - English speaking staff - Traveller's café inside the complex. We were placed in a room by the nightclub. It was noisy going to sleep. A quieter location would have been better. No problems with the loud music experienced like the others even we were directly above the bar. We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night and the pub downstairs was very noisy. We wanted an early night to get up early to see Terracotta Warriors, but had trouble sleeping. Shower might need some more ventilation, was a bit 'moist'. - Bar beneath the hotel: during night very noisy due to (drunken) non-hotel people coming from the bar. Noisy; spotty wifi; smoking from courtyard gets into the rooms. Check out time is at 12 so if u arrive early in the morning ( like we did) you have to wait hours before having a show er ( after 9 hours on a train!). Very noisy. Smoking from courtyard gets into the room. Bathrooms could do with an upgrade. -They were overbooked, ended up sharing a room with a friend. No big, saved some money. some facilities in toilet is not work. 房间小了点点：）. it was very very hot! the AC was barely working.
