  The staff is exceptional -- all spoke English, even the maid. All wentout of their way to be friendly and helpful and gracious. We added on ahalf day, since our flight didn't leave til evening, and the maid camein and made up the room with fresh towels and everything while we wereat lunch. The staff were courteous and helpful - Gerry Mo, Gabrielle and a host of others that unfortunately, I can't recall their names at this point The in-house restaurants serve a variety of fresh and delicious dishes, I particularly enjoyed the Mai Japanese Restaurant buffet.   I loved everything about Shangri-La; although abit on the expensive side but worth it. The hotel is the grandest I have ever visited, the service is excellent and has lived up to its 5-star status.   The resort as a whole was fabulous…the staff were very friendly and spoke sufficent English to interact and serve guests. Very quite time when were there a few days ago…with only 5 guests (4 of which were our group). Villas were amazing and very well appointed.   I couldn't have asked for more. I wanted a luxury business hotel, and the Langham provided both the luxury and the business facilities, plus excellent food, along with a delightful service ethos that desired only to excel.
