  We checked in late and traveled all day from Seattle. We had to change travel plans due to time so we decided to stay 2 nights but our decision was last minute. Erin at the front desk was so professional , outgoing and just had this can do attitude! It was so refreshing and considering we have never been to Canada it started off good!   They accommodate late evening arrivals re the Port Hardy to Prince Rupert ferry. I had double booked online and they graciously cancelled one booking without charge. - Friendly efficient staff, even though check-in was late at night ...late ferry. Breakfast cafe was very homey.

  I liked the breakfast, the price, the bed. If you are only staying in the hotel to sleep, it is great! - I loved the hotel -- We were given an upgrade to two one-bedroom suits, which were lovely and very comfortable. I was intrigued by the architecture of the hotel, built in 1876, and want to go back to Victoria and stay there
