The owner Margaret was a very warm and welcoming hostess. My room, the 'Eagles Nest' was exactly the haven I hoped it would be . Good well equipped apartments and excellent for a family stay. For us the location out of the city centre was good, easy parking. We liked the Kitsilano neighbourhood and it's only 10 minutes drive from the city centre. Really clean, nice bathrooms. Would recommend them to anyone. -

We had a lovely stay here. The family were very welcoming and helpful. The cottage was really cute and had all that we needed. It was lovely to eat outside with the sheep and to later toast marshmallows on the woodburner- made it really cosy, even though it wasn't really needed in August! My son loved pootling about and going down to the 'beach'.

We enjoyed the novelty of staying in a heritage cabin on a sheep ranch. Breakfast was great, lots of fresh fruit, plenty of choice. Eating our breakfast in a sunny meadow was a delightful experience. Our hosts were wonderful, couldn't do enough for us.

The main advantage of Riviera is location: right in the middle of Vancouver's beautiful downtown, 10 mins walk to Stanley park, 5 mins to waterfront, etc. Room are surprisingly spacious for a hotel and come with full kitchen (stove including). We prefer a studio to a one-bedroom, even if it is three of us: ventilation is better in studios, especially in the summer. The hotel is not new but the interior has been recently renovated. The innkeeper was delightful, warm, welcoming and super-helpful, the room was spacious and immaculate (the bathroom was gigantic) and the guests' sitting room was lovely. We were asked what we preferred for breakfast and it was great. The place was a little bit far from the town, but that wasn't a problem. Highly recommended! -
