We had such a lovely time at this b & B. The host, René, is so down-to- earth, kind, and welcoming. I have never felt so at home apart from when I have stayed with family! The decor of the b & b is stylish yet warm. Our room was small but quaint and smartly designed with a lot of attention to detail. The breakfast was filling. There was a choice of pastries, toast, yogurt, and fruits plus a hot entrée prepared by René. We had blueberry pancakes one morning and a cheese omelette the othe.
alla recensioner » A fantastic bed and breakfast. Very well located close to the metro with good links to the centre. Feels quiet and safe. The accommodation is very comfortable and private. The shared bathroom was clean and shared with only one adjacent room. The shower was excellent. Rene is a fantastic host, who makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. It is a laid-back, friendly sort of place, however this does not detract from Rene's high standards of service. His blueberry pancakes are delicious a. We stayed at Gite Ocoin for 1 night (for the second year in a row as it turns out) and had a fantastic time. I don't remember much about our first visit but this was excellent. The place was immaculate, and there was free street parking. As many reviewers have mentioned, the owner Rene was the best part of the stay. He is hilarious, made us feel at home, and went out of his way to help, even driving us to our dinner restaurant. I look forward to returning next year. The host is the nicest man you could want in a bed-and-breakfast. He gave us excellent advice on where to visit in the city, was very personable and helpful, and generally helped improve our stay a great deal. He also makes fantastic blueberry pancakes. If you want a completely impersonal stay this isn't the best establishment, but you'd be missing out; the accommodations are lovely, the location is excellent, and it feels like a home-away-from-home. great service. makes you feel really at home. better coffee than most I had in Montreal ( which is not saying a lot seems coffee has a way to go in Canada- maybe one can measure coffee quality by the size of the cup- large cup bad coffee.... easy access to underground. great alarm with time projected on ceiling :-). Lovely free access to property day or night using security code. excellent free wifi. What can I say? Excellent hardly covers it! Rene was a fantastic host - he has put so much thought into running his B&B! The room was clean and welcoming, breakfast was excellent, the location was convenient for the subway, Rene has lots of information and advice for visitors.It was great to share experiences, over breakfast,with other travellers from all around the world!. Everything, This is just an amazing place. Rene, the owner, is absolutely the nicest man, he is so helpful and have thought about every detail to make your stay enjoyable. Normally I would avoid anywhere with a share bathroom, but this is something special ! Our king sized bed was excellent and the location was really convenient. Rene was a wonderful host and has provided everything we cold possibly want. His help and suggestions, as well as wonderful cooking made our stay memorable for all the right reasons. The best B&B I've ever stayed in. Jean Rene was a brilliant host and the story about the house is amazing. Breakfast was very good. The kitchen was well stocked and we felt very comfortable making ourselves at home. The security locks are very good - not having to remember a key was great. Possibly the best place we stayed in our 6 week trip. Rene was such an amazing host, so welcoming and kind. He went the extra mile for his guests and provided little touches (such as complimentary coffee and water), making life so much easier for us. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. How could I not mention the breakfasts? They were perfect. I still miss my stay in Montreal!. Rene was the ultimate host, it was a home away from home, so friendly and helpful, to the extent that he would have offered to pick us up from downtown when we had a problem with the Metro. He provided us with a local map, then showed us how to visit some of the local highlights; Old Montreal, the Botanic Gardens and Mont Royal. Monsieur Rene was most welcoming and extremely helpful-made you feel at home. Breakfast was a joy with much choice including Rene's signature dish - Blueberry pancakes. A great time to engage with other travellers in very relaxed atmosphere. Accommodation very clean and comfortable and very close to transport. Highly recommend. The owner/host was wonderful, very accommodating and helpful with suggestions for dining--he does the extra touches to make your stay more comfortable. It was a little far out of town, but has easy access with the metro. I can't think of anything. The breakfasts were not good-felt like they were just thrown together with whatever he had left. We stayed for two nights and the bed wasn't made. Cleanliness could be improved. Nothing. Nothing. Everything was perfect. Small room, but the accessibility to the kitchen and living room compensate. nothing. Weather.
