courteous staff, helpful. hotel was very full due to marathon weekend, (I was a participant). they were geared up for the event. The hotel was quiet, I slept well. I would consider staying there again.

Strathcona Hotel fitted our budget perfectly. The room was small but clean and comfortable. On our first night there was a problem with the hot water not being very hot and the staff went out of their way to make sure it was quickly fixed.

The hotel was beautiful, well done reno's, the lobby is gorgeous, we stayed in an older room with older t.v. and furnishings, but was everything we needed, we spent the only time in the room sleeping, so the bed was comfortable, clean and had free wi'fi, so I could post my pics on FB as we travelled, only thing I would request going forward, is coffee offered to guests that get up before 7:30 am, when breakfast is served, we are early risers, 7Eleven is 1/2 a block away, and was a nice walk in

Staff was very friendly. Met what we though was the maintenance/housekeeper when i asked for help with luggage as my wife had handsful with kids. But found out from the desk agent that it was the manager. I have never seen a manager work all day and night and he made sure we had everything we needed and made sure we had an excellent stay. We arrived fairly late and had a bite to eat and a drink in the pub downstairs. Very friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere.

I really liked how they stored my suitcase before check in so I could do my work and same thing after I checked out. I didn't have to pack my luggage to a business meeting. Also the convenience of the location being right downtown Victoria almost next to the museum and archives was a tremendous bonus. I liked how they put me in a room on the 14th floor which gave me the best views ever.

We stayed for the main reason that it was so close to Save on Foods Memorial for a concert & was very pleasantly surprised of what a nice hotel it was. The beds where comfortable and the room was clean. Room service was also really good. My son had brought his bike along on our trip and it was an expensive bike and he did not want to leave it in the van the guy working at the desk at night told him that he could bring the bike into the room, he was very accommodating.

we were in room 307 which was very nice. Hotel overall was comfortable except that the room was too warm. The small units in each level did not cool the room very well. Loved the Cask beer in the bar downstairs. Also liked the family room next to the bar - we had a group of 20 in there on Sunday night and it was excellent - staff were great.

Ok People are freaking out way too much about this hotel, probably
travellers who are looking for a luxury resort for very little money.
The place was clean, had good staff, and cheap. I got a king size bed, all to myself :P The staff at night was awesome and made sure everything was safe.

The rooms, although old, were very clean and comfortable. It was within easy walking distance to tourist attractions. The gentleman on the desk was very friendly and knowledgeable about Victoria. An enjoyable stay!
