  We stayed in a 1-bedroom suite with fridge, microwave, coffee maker and water kettle in the kitchenette, just perfect for traveling with children. Lovely view out to The Empress Hotel, downtown and some water views. Staff was gracious and helpful. The pool area was also nice. Wish we had had more time to swim, but water is deep (5-9 ft).   We arrived fairly late and had a bite to eat and a drink in the pub downstairs. Very friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Beds very comfortable and quiet during the night. We had been concerned about city noise but was very peaceful! Restaurant for breakfast was wonderful. I didn't have to pack my luggage to a business meeting. Also the convenience of the location being right downtown Victoria almost next to the museum and archives was a tremendous bonus. I liked how they put me in a room on the 14th floor which gave me the best views ever.

  We had a corner room with two windows and a balcony overlooking the inner harbor. The room was lovely with plenty of space and the bed was comfortable. The staff was also helpful and friendly.
