  The hotel is located on a tree-lined street in Gloria. The hotel is close to metro stop and taxi stand. This was my second stay at the quaint, cozy hotel. The neighborhood is energetic with a nice art cafe across from hotel and there are shops, markets, and pharmacy in the immediate area. The manager and staff are wonderful. The hotel is simple but offer a good enough breakfast. The rooms have a good quality wifi and paid tv. The bathroom was renovatated and is modern, clean, have a good shower. The location of the Hotel is very convinient, close to the city and public transport.

  The hotel is beautiful - the rooms are very very nice - very attractively furnished with old furniture and lots of artwork everywhere.   The staff bent over backwards to help me with my extremely poor Portuguese. Location perfect as the Metro Catete is only 3/4 of a block, beach 10-15 min, lots of shopping. - Excellent location, allows for great mobility.

  This hotel has a very good location (quiet, safe, close to Flamengo Park and Beach). Very kind and helpfull staff (we asked in spanisch, they answered in portuguese or english - was a nice mixture), but we got all information we needed.   The staff was very helpful and did everything they could to make our stay pleasant. As dated as the decor was it was nice to have a spa bath and a sauna in the room.   Cleaners never minded cleaning your room very late in the day; and the reception staff were helpful from start to finish. Nice rooms, no complaints at all really. - Location in Ipanema close to the beach, the shopping and the lagoa was perfect! Small room but perfect for one solo traveller.

  Rooms were spartan but clean, bed was very comfortable (I like a hard bed), location is right downtown so you don't have to go far to get anything.   Ok, this is not a five-star hotel, but they don't charge a five-star price either. My opinion is, you get exactly what you pay for. It's in Lapa, this means it probably used to be in a slum. It is not in a slum now. It is 50 meters from Selaron staircase, a famous landmark. It is a vibrant neighborhood, so maybe it's not ok for children -- I would... vad folk säger » n't know. We're a reasonably young couple, and for us it was just perfect. Stuff are very helpful, they do speak English (I was prepared to resort to - Good location in Lapa, not far away from the Arcos da Lapa or Cinelandia station. A rather tidy room.   Hotel is in Lapa, a few hundred meters from the famous arches. Transport connections are very good - there are several buslines that run past the hotel and allow access to most parts of Rio easily. Breakfast was fine. AC worked, which is somewhat important when it's +37C outside

  Staff was very kind. They let us in the room although it were 7:00 in the morning (when we arrived from the flight). They even gave us breakfast when we arrived.
